Gypsy Princess Miniature Bed WIP

Gypsy Princess mini Bed

Gypsy Princess mini Bed

I’ve had these balsa furniture kits from the Dollarama for a while, and finally decided to work on them this past weekend. Since I’ve mostly got things for the boys’ room (Angel and Wynter), I decided it would be fun to do something girly for a change. Oksana is all about being a gypsy princess, and so I’m working on this bed for her.

I altered the headboard into a tall backboard, added a valance, and some sheers. There is beaded fringe and a strip of the DCWV princess paper’s gold edging, which also appears on the side rails of the bed (hidden under the blanket). There is more of that paper on the backboard.  There will be more dangling strings of beads and a crown on the valance. The bedding is all handmade and stitched, and currently includes a mattress, the blanket, a roll pillow, the beaded pillow, and two pillows at the head of the bed. I actually made a lot of pillows, some of which I’ll be including with my mini trade packages.

I love how this is coming out, and now I have to make a mermaid themed bed like this for Phae-phae, apparently. Except… neither of the girly beds really belong in the dollhouse I have currently. Which means I need another dollhouse. lol Mm, hmm.
