Song of Creation is a watercolour painting of a tiger cub with butterfly wings, with a reddish-brown henna pattern (Indian celebratory designs usually painted on women’s hands and feet) that spills over onto the black mat as well. The title refers to the first cries of the newborn cub. The fur and henna designs are highlighted with watercolour pencils. The fur is quite fluffy and touchable looking.
The painting is about 10.5x 5.5″, and the outer edge of the frame measures 14×18.5″ and appears as you see in the image.
